Lib & Duncan

Today my friend Libby and I took a day trip to Philly. After hitting some traffic due to construction, we finally made it to Philadelphia’s 9th Street Italian Market. We sampled some fabulous cheese at DiBruno Brothers and ate lunch at Sabrina’s, a cheerful and charming little establishment. We ordered Tuscan chicken sandwiches and Libby got sweet potato fries and I got the Parmesan fries. Both were delicious! On the way back I got a chocolate and hazelnut iced latte at Anthony’s Italian Coffee House. Oh my goodness! I think it was the best iced latte I’ve had in my life! Talk about rich flavor!

Next we made our way to the Philadelphia Museum of Art to see Transcending the Literal: Photographs by

Ansel Adams from the Collection. Like all of Adams’ work, the photography was beautiful. Although known for his sweeping landscapes, these were more quiet works. Here, elements of nature took on abstract patterns.

It was a fun day and the boys were so good! I hope this fall to use the less congested weekdays to do more sightseeing in the local area. I can’t wait to decide where to go next!

On an unrelated note, I will not have my computer for the next several days, so if I owe you an email, please be patient!
