and Duncan decided to do some heavy reading.

I mean eating.
Then they wanted to help unload the dishwasher.

Oh, cool, this comes out!
I know this is just the beginning . . .
And, Owen took about 6 steps today!

Aww!!! They are adorable. They still do some wild things at 5 and 3 years of age when you turn your backs. Unfortunately, they aren’t real “cute” when they do it at my children’s ages
For instance, before school today they got goldfish out of the cabinet and sprinkled a few on the floor only to play a “crunching game” with their shoes. Lovely!
Happy Birthday, boys!
Too cute! Happy Birthday little cuties!
Let me know when you want me to come over and help you put everything away that you ever held dear.
Darren would like to say that he’s just following the instructions that Augustine got: Pick up and read. (Or eat.)
I can’t believe they’re a year old! They both look very kissable, when you’re not burying your head and groaning.

The funny thing is that bookcase the books are in are actually supposed to have glass doors. It was given to us by Josh’s dad, is a family antique, and didn’t have glass doors when it was given to us. The doors are there, just no glass, and it hasn’t been on the top of the “house to-do list” as of yet, but it is now. Guess what Josh went to go buy today? Glass!
Frankly, the locking glass doors on our china hutch and TV console have been life-savers! And that’s with just ONE inquisitive child!
