Yesterday
Yesterday . . . I heard Baby Jones’ heartbeat for the first time! That was a very strange feeling. I learned I’ve gained 4 pounds and the plethora of tests they did on my last visit were fine. I got some questions answered about exercise, food, and vitamins I’d been wanting to ask. In general it was a good and uneventful visit. The only odd thing being the couple in the waiting room started singing to the piped in music. Not just humming but singing for an extended length of time, both of them. A little strange, but glad they were in a good mood!
Yesterday . . . I had the longest commute I’ve ever had in my almost 4 years of driving downtown! Walking to my car I heard crash behind me and turned around in time to see the an accident. That was just a beginning of the evening’s events. We had torrential downpours yesterday and streets were flooded. It took me 2 hours and 35 minutes to get home! I finally made it home by 8 p.m.
I’m glad today’s Friday!
Love the heartbeat. Nothing like it. It’s so fast, huh? I pray that heart continues to beat strong and steady.
Sorry about your commute. It was a bear out there. And now all the leaves are stripped naked by the wind!
Danielle,
I work down at Hopkins (so I’m in the city too for work) and it took me two hours to get home yesterday too! I am also glad that it is Friday being that I have had about all of the commuting I can take for the week. One of the Christian radio stations was doing reasons to thank God on the way home….that really helped to lighten the mood. Amy Lee
Hearing your baby’s heartbeat! How exciting! I remember when we heard Olivia and then Ava’s for the first time. It makes pregnancy seem even more real.
Great!!! Except for the commute. Everyone’s was awful, I heard.
sheesh! What a commute! I am sorry, but at least you made it home safe and sound!
Hooray for hearing your babys heart beat inside of you. I could not help but cry when I first heard that heartbeat! It is truly amazing!
Aww, congrats on the heartbeat!!!
Sorry about the long commute. It was definitely a very strong downpour.
OH that is so exciting. I love that whooshing sound. It is wonderful. Seth usually came with me when I was pregnant with Jude and he always told the doctor it sounded like horses.
Glad everything is going well!!
Hugs
