Timbuk2
Bethany’s been posting her favorite products on Fridays and I’ve so enjoyed her posts. Her posts made me remember one of my favorite products that I use almost everyday: my Timbuk2 Bag.
My messenger bag from college gradually became mere threads, and a few years ago I started looking for a new one. I have a long commute so I carry books, my planner, lunch, and a bunch of other junk with me at all times. I needed a roomy bag, water resistant, and something that didn’t give me back problems. My old messenger bag cut into my shoulder and made my back and neck ache.
Our then intern introduced me to Timbuk2 Bags. The coolest thing is you can build your own bag, picking fabric, size, color, and many more options. The shoulder strap is plenty padded and comfortable. The Metro bag is a perfect purse alternative; their laptop bags are great (we have the Laptop Tote) too. Although expensive, they’ll last, and you won’t be buying a new one for a long time.
Do you think it would work well as a diaper bag? The water resistant feature sounds great …
Ashleigh, I have friends who use regular Vera Bradley messengers as diaper bags, so I guess if you like messengers in general, you could use that one that way too. On the website, you can click “inside” and see the inside if you want. It truly is waterproof. Once I got caught in a downpour and everything inside stayed dry!
Dani this is fabulous! I am forever attempting to buy purses to fit everything in them. My last purse is DYING. I might invest. It sounds like a great option.
I do love these Timbuktu bags. They are a very high quality and worth the extra bucks you might spend over a cheap one. I also have a messenger I bought at Staples for $30, and it’s starting to look pretty bad!
Danielle, I have a friend that uses one of these for all her camera equipment!! They look really cool.
